College Café
What’s better than Sunday School? Sunday school with a free lunch! Come join your friends (or make some new ones) at College Café, our college Sunday School class that meets every Sunday at 12:15 p.m. We meet just below the sanctuary in the lounge for some good food and meaningful conversation. This year College Café will be student led, and we’ll be focusing our lunch discussions with the questions posed in Rob Bell’s NOOMA videos.
Morning Prayer
Sundays are great, but sometimes by the middle of the week you just feel like you need to reconnect. Drop by UUMC on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. for an informal time of praise and worship to the God in whom we live and move, and have our being.
The Intersection
College is the one place where questions of faith and life meet like never before. Sometimes you just need a cup of coffee and a few friends to talk to about everything that’s going on. The Intersection is that place. We meet once a week at the Caribou Coffee down the street from campus to share our questions of faith and life in an easygoing environment. Check us out on facebook.
Career Mentors
If you would like to speak to someone in the congregation about your career path or negotiating the real world as a Christian, please contact us to be paired with an appropriate mentor. The congregation is full of professionals from all walks of life who would love to share their experiences and expertise with you. Contact Jim McConnell or Jan Minchew.
Service Oopportunities
If you are interested in helping serve dinner at the homeless shelter on Rosemary Street, please contact Rusty Ross (403-3357). The church has a group that volunteers on the second Monday of each month. They would love to have you join them.
Study Breaks
In the fall, we distribute fun study packs to all of our college students. In the spring, we have a party at the church which will leave you completely relaxed and able to focus on what’s important (studying).
