All-Church Yard Sale
The All-Church Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, September 25. Please plan to bring your donations the week of the sale, September 19-22. Large items will be accepted between noon and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 19. Call Nell Laton (929-3257) to volunteer or make other arrangements for donating large items if necessary.
Disciple Bible Study
Since 1987, more than 1 million people have taken Disciple Bible Study courses to enhance their knowledge of the Bible and enrich their spiritual growth. UUMC will offer two Disciple Bible Study classes this fall. Rev. Molly Shivers and Jeffrey Rich will lead a Wednesday evening class (7:00-9:30 at Amity UMC) beginning September 15 and Rev. Linda Foster-Momsen and Debbie Montague will lead a Thursday afternoon class (1:30-4:00 at UUMC) starting September 9. Questions? Click here or call Jeffrey Rich (929-8865).
College Café
In Romans 12:13, we are commanded to “Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers.” College Café offers an easy opportunity to do that for saints and strangers in our midst. Two dedicated students will continue to lead this ministry this year. The higher education committee is looking for volunteers – a committee, circle, Sunday School class or just a group of friends – to provide lunch during College Café, which will meet each Sunday following the 10:55 a.m. service starting on September 12. Children’s Bible Study Kick-Off
All 2nd-5th graders are invited to join in the fun as we kick off our Children’s Bible Study for the fall on Sunday, September 19. We will gather in Room 208 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Parents, please plan to drop your children off at the drop-off loop in front of our education wing and to pick your children up in Room 208. Youth Activities
The U-Crew will kick off the fall semester on September 12 and will continue its new tradition this fall, joining forces with the Youth Choir for the annual fall retreat October 15-17. They’ll be at Camp Don Lee for sailing, swimming, worship and just plain hanging out. Please fill out a registration form and return it by September 19.
UUMC Golf Group
Some church members have expressed an interest in getting together to play golf. A proposal is in place to play once a month on Wednesday or Thursday. Infant Loss Support Group
Angels Too Soon is a support group for parents and grandparents who have experienced the loss of an infant during pregnancy or the child’s first year. Led by Julie Moushon, it meets in the West Parlor on the third Monday of every month from 7:00-8:30 p.m. The first meeting of the fall will be held on September 20. JOY Luncheon September 23
On Thursday, September 23, the JOY (Just Older Youth) group will gather for a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. hosted by Linda and Bruce Foster Momsen at their home near Hillsborough. All JOY folks are cordially invited to this event, which will be another opportunity to give a warm “JOY welcome” to our new minister Rev. Delores Langley and for all of us to get to know each other better. We will meet at the Dillard’s parking lot (University Mall) at 10:45 to carpool (possibly using our church’s new minibus) to the Foster Momsens’ home. Yokefellows Prison Ministry
Are you interested in ministering to prisoners at the Orange County Correctional Center? Join other members of UUMC as they visit with inmates on Tuesday evenings. Contact Paul Triulzi (544-0694) to learn more.
Preschool Openings

Parent Morning Fellowship
