This long-standing tradition continues with weekly meetings on Tuesdays from 10:00-11:00 in the Amity UMC fellowship hall. Rev. Carl King will be the primary leader of this Bible study that will focus on the lectionary readings for each week. All are welcome.
We invite all women of the church to make plans to join us for the third year of this exciting Bible study. We meet at Amity UMC on Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:00 for fellowship, Bible study and prayer. Rev. Delores Langley will lead the weekly study. Come alone to meet new friends or invite an old friend to come with you. Childcare is available for those who need it.
GAP and the Adult Education Committee invite adults of all ages (including graduate students and young professionals) to wrestle with some of the questions of the faith through this video and internet-based small group exploration of progressive Christianity featuring premier religion voices of our day. The group discussions will explore topics such as: "Taking the Bible Seriously," "Thinking Theologically," and "Practicing Resurrection." This group meets on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the East Parlor. For more information contact Heidi Troxler.
DBS I: Becoming Disciples through Bible Study is a 34-week experience in which the group will move through the Biblical narrative from beginning to end. This study requires reading large portions of scripture, as well as study and preparation for the meetings. DBS I aims at transformation, not just information.
To sign up or for more information, please visit the Disciple Bible Study page on this website and fill out the DBS information form.

All men are invited to join the men’s Bible study. Each study is self-contained so you are able to come as often as your schedule allows. Afterward, the men enjoy a social hour at Top of the Hill. Fall 2010 dates are September 20, October 18, November 15 and December 20. For more information, contact Scott Trulock.
Every baptized person is called to ministry. The Education for Ministry (EfM) program provides the education to carry out that ministry. This comprehensive four-year program covers the Old and New Testaments, church history, liturgy and theology. It offers the opportunity for each participant to more fully discover how to respond to his or her personal call of Christian service. For more information, contact Mona Arnold (929-3209).
